Duties & Responsibilities Manage and process the full monthly payroll cycle using SAGE One and SAGE. Ensure % compliance with South African payroll legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA, Pension / Provident Fund). Maintain accurate employee payroll records — from onboarding to terminations. Prepare and reconcile payroll reports and ensure on‑time payments every month. Handle payroll‑related employee queries with professionalism and discretion. Prepare and submit EMP and EMP reconciliations, and support SARS year‑end submissions (IRP5). Liaise with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll aligns with financial reporting. Support SARS processes: VAT, CIT, and PAYE submissions, as well as audits, objections, and appeals. Desired Experience & Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. 4–5 years' experience processing payroll in a medium to large organisation. Strong working knowledge of SAGE One and SAGE Payroll systems. Advanced Excel and reconciliation skills. In‑depth understanding of South African payroll and tax legislation.
