Overview Redheads Engineering Solutions is seeking a dynamic Project Manager / Project Engineer for a prominent client in the construction sector. Location: Cape Town & Johannesburg. Key Responsibilities Project Management: Ensure timely and cost-effective project completion while maintaining quality standards. Project Delivery: Oversee projects from initiation to closure, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. Technical Guidance: Provide expertise and direction to project team members. Engineering and Logistics: Manage engineering, logistics, and commissioning activities. Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Communication: Facilitate effective communication and resolution of project-related issues. Project Planning: Collaborate with project / contract managers to define project scope and plan accordingly. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks. People Management: Recruit, train, and manage project staff according to company policies. Project Finance: Monitor project expenditures, manage funds, and prepare financial reports. Technical and Design: Ensure technical compliance and facilitate product testing. Business Development: Contribute to tendering processes and ensure compliance with technical requirements. Contractual and Commercial: Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and manage associated risks. Desired Experience & Qualification The ideal candidates will hold a minimum of a National Diploma / BTech / BSc in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) and / or Construction / Project Management. Registration as a Professional Engineer Technician with ECSA and as a Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) at SACPCMP is essential, along with familiarity with NEC / FIDIC / JBCC contracts.
