Sales Engineer from High Volume Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities â Client Relationship Management Build, maintain, and strengthen strategic relationships with existing clients across South Africa. Act as the primary technical and commercial point of contact for client accounts, providing expert support and solutions tailored to their needs. Conduct regular client visits, reviews, and feedback sessions to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. â Market & Industry Mapping Conduct detailed market research to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics in the high-volume manufacturing and packaging industries. Develop and execute a clear market penetration strategy to increase the companyâs share of wallet with existing clients and secure new business. â Sales & Business Development Drive sales of high-volume manufacturing solutions, equipment, and/or services, meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual targets. Generate and qualify leads, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts in line with company policies. Manage the full sales cycle, including technical presentations, tender submissions, and closing agreements. â Technical Expertise & Support Leverage your mechanical engineering knowledge to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions. Prepare accurate tenders, quotations, and costing agreements in alignment with company objectives and client expectations. Provide input into product development and improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and market insights. Requirements & Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree or Similar Degree Proven experience as a Sales Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment , with a track record of developing client relationships and delivering sales growth. Strong exposure to the packaging industry will be a distinct advantage. Demonstrated experience in tenders, costing, and commercial negotiations . Excellent understanding of the South African manufacturing and industrial landscape. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with MS Office, CRM tools, and basic financial modelling. Willing and able to travel nationally as required. Based in the East Rand , with a valid driverâs license and own transport.
