Midweight Graphic Designer Join to apply for the MIDWEIGHT GRAPHIC DESIGNER role at IOEC Purpose The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging designs across various mediums, including print and digital. This individual will work closely with departments within the organisation to develop concepts and bring them to life through innovative design solutions. Job Description Role: Midweight DesignerCompany: IOECLocation: Durban Responsibilities Conceptualize and create original designs for print and digital assets, including but not limited to advertisements, brochures, logos, social media graphics, and website layouts. Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and objectives. Translate client briefs and ideas into visually stunning designs that effectively communicate the desired message. Develop design concepts, mockups, and prototypes to present to stakeholders for feedback and approval. Execute design projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality deliverables within specified timelines. Maintain brand consistency across all design materials and platforms. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve design skills and knowledge. Assist with photo editing, retouching, and other post-production tasks as needed. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for marketing campaigns and initiatives. Work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals and objectives. Minimum Requirements Midweight designer with 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience (in‑house, agency, or studio), with a strong portfolio showcasing creative design work. Solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques. Skills Excellent communication and collaboration with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts. Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to quality. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). On‑time delivery with high‑quality, brand‑consistent work. EQ Skills Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. Positive attitude, creativity, and a passion for design. Education Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
