Company Overview Anthemis is a leading South African Independent Power Producer (IPP), specialising in the development, financing, construction, ownership, and operation of large-scale wind and solar energy projects. We manage approximately 2.7 GW of secured capacity across 24 projects, plus a development pipeline of about 11 GW in greenfield projects. Role Anthem is seeking a renewable energy engineer with at least 15 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years in the renewable wind energy industry. The role combines technical and contractual management skills, leadership of a team, and a key position within the senior asset management team. Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, the successful candidate will: Manage, monitor, and optimise project performance. Lead and close EPC and/or O&M contract negotiations. Advise on technical feasibility and contractual matters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support South Africa's Just Energy Transition. Qualifications Engineering degree or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical. Expertise in Wind Energy and Solar Power. Experience with Renewable Energy Systems, including Solar Energy. Knowledge of the Energy Industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent project management and organisational abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Professional certification in renewable energy is a plus.
