We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Cluster Manager to lead our Gauteng Contract Logistics operations. This role will oversee multiple warehouse facilities serving customers across FMCG, fashion & lifestyle, and technology verticals. The Cluster Manager will be accountable for P&L performance, operational excellence, and ensuring adherence to customer KPIs, while driving strategic growth and continuous improvement initiatives across the cluster. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple warehouse sites within the cluster. Operational Leadership: Ensure seamless execution of logistics services tailored to diverse industry verticals including FMCG, fashion & lifestyle, technology. Operational Leadership: Drive safety, efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company standards and industry regulations. Financial & Commercial Management: Full P&L ownership for the region, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization. Financial & Commercial Management: Identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining service excellence. Financial & Commercial Management: Partner with business development teams to support customer growth and retention. Customer Excellence: Ensure strict adherence to customer KPIs and service-level agreements. Customer Excellence: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted partner. Customer Excellence: Proactively address operational challenges and implement solutions to exceed customer expectations. People & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of site operations managers and staff. People & Leadership: Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in line with Maersk purposes and values. People & Leadership: Champion health, safety, and employee engagement across all sites. Strategic Direction: Develop and execute regional strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Strategic Direction: Drive innovation in warehouse operations, leveraging technology and best practices. Strategic Direction: Anticipate market trends and position the business for sustainable growth. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Finance or similar. Proven track record of no less than 5 years in senior leadership roles within contract logistics, supply chain, or related industries. Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management. Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site warehouse operations. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Experience working with customers in FMCG, fashion & lifestyle, and technology sectors is highly desirable.
