We are looking for an enthusiastic Barman at our Japanese Restaurant, Hoseki, at Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa, to provide an excellent guest drinking experience, who will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Main Responsibilities: Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons; Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks and snacks; Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations; Mix and prepare ingredients for cocktails. Plan and present bar menu; Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies; Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience; Comply with all food and beverage regulations & ensure minimum losses; Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areas; Check drinks presentations and temperature to make sure of its quality; Ensure everything in the bar is set-up and ready for service, including the coffee stations and all machines; Assist management in taking bar stock. Main Requirements: Preferably 3+ years previous experience as a Barman; Ability to travel to and from the property for late shifts as required; Passionate about the hospitality industry; Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, written and verbal (in person and telephonic); Strong customer service orientation with excellent people skills; Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments and across cultures and religions; Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele; Honesty, flexibility, accountability and friendliness; Professional manner and attitude; Punctual & self-disciplined; Extreme attention to detail; Basic computer and administration skills.
