Day in the Life Embarking on a career as a Commercial Underwriter means embracing a role centered on precision and thoughtful risk assessment. You will perform day-to-day underwriting activities, ensuring effective evaluation of risk and maintaining excellent client service by adhering to standard operating procedures. Beyond the day-to-day, you are growing your knowledge, keeping up with industry best practices and actively managing your own development through regular reviews and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This is more than a job; it is a chance to grow and make a real difference in clients’ lives. Requirements 5+ years’ experience in a commercial underwriter role Experience in working with various insurers Experience within a short-term insurance brokerage is preferred Experience across general commercial policies such as SME, Property, Multimark Policies and Group Schemes. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team and independently Qualifications Meets all Fit & Proper requirements as per the FSCA (i.e. no longer under supervision) RE5, Class of Business, Insurance related qualification Should you wish to apply for this role, please do so by submitting your CV via LinkedIn.
