Icebolethu Group is calling for suitable candidates to apply for a 4 months’ Temporary position of Remuneration and Benefits Officer - Ref No. HR/02/25 within the Group Human Resources Department. The position will be based at our office located in Durban ; the successful candidate will be required to perform tasks supporting the payroll department. Minimum Requirements National Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in HR/ Finance Certification as a payroll practitioner is an advantage. SARA Registered 3 years’ experience in Remuneration and Benefits management environment. Knowledge of Tax, Medical Aid and Pension Fund laws and Rules. Practical working knowledge of payroll systems, such as VIP Premier, Sage 300, and others, is essential. Prioritization and resource allocation. Judgement Integrity Communication Operational Excellence Key Performance Areas: Data capturing and Payroll processing Updating and maintaining payroll records. Processing new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, increases, pension, medical aid, time and attendance, leave, garnishes, and all payroll changes throughout the month. Calculating employee packages. Processing 3rd party payments (SARS, Medical Aid, Retirement Funds). Printing payslips where necessary. Processing payroll. Benefits administration Ensuring all relevant information is updated and correct with regards to Payroll system and Time and Attendance. Ensuring systems are set up and updated to reflect the current employee base. Ensuring Payroll systems, employee records, and reports are available for auditing purposes. Preparing and assisting with annual Financial Audit. Attending to general enquiries from employees. Dealing with Medical Aid and Pension/Provident Fund Service Providers. HR Payroll Information auditing Ensuring all relevant information is updated and correct with regards to Payroll system and Time and Attendance. Ensuring systems are set up and updated to reflect the current employee base. Ensuring Payroll systems, employee records, and reports are available for auditing purposes. Preparing and assisting with annual Financial Audit. Query Management Ensuring all pay-related queries are dealt with promptly and feedback is provided within 48 hours. Assisting and advising employees regarding remuneration and benefits policies and procedures. Documentation and Reporting Completing all documentation with all details required, every time without error, highlighting any deviations or non-conformance. Ensuring correct filing and safe keeping of documents. Reconciling monthly payroll. Creating, preparing, and maintaining accurate employee files. Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validating confirmed reports. Preparing, reviewing, and updating remuneration and benefits data to include business-required reports.
