Rehabilitation Therapy Manager (Rehab Intervention Leader) Our Group Practice at Nurture iLembe is looking for a Rehabilitation Therapy Manager (Rehab Intervention Leader) to join their team. Duties & Responsibilities To be involved/responsible for physical rehabilitation and be a member of the management team of the hospital. Demonstrates working knowledge of the interrelationships of speech, occupational, physical therapy, or other rehabilitation programs in patient care. Ability to work in collaboration with other health care providers, staff, family, and patients in meeting patient needs. Demonstrates good planning, organizational and interpersonal skills necessary to maintain a safe, orderly and goal directed work environment for self and the therapy team. To plan and conduct team meetings and generate reports and FIM scores to the respective Funders. To assist the therapy team with applications for provision of equipment needs. To discuss the rehabilitation program with the patient and family members. To be able to acknowledge & consider different views regarding treatment of patients in the unit and to be responsible for the final decision (in consultation with the primary doctor) regarding admissions, referrals, consequences, therapeutic treatment & discharges. Oversee the discipline of the team as a whole & the conduct of its team members. Be responsible for establishing & maintaining professional relationships with the referral community including physicians, external professionals & nursing. Work well with other key areas within the hospital including, admin, nursing & maintenance. Desired Experience & Qualification Degree or Diploma in any of the therapy professions (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Speech Therapy) Registered with the HPCSA / SACSSP with knowledge of the ICF framework. Minimum of 5 years relevant hospital physical rehabilitation experience. Computer literacy with strong administration and organizational skills.
