SPAR KZN is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team. Purpose of the Position: To provide leadership and expertise in respect of the financial function in order to ensure timely and accurate reporting, as well as continuous improvement in our financial processes. Ensure compliance with laid down financial policies, procedures, and controls concerning Finance, Salaries, and Creditors departments. Focus Areas for the Position: Assist with the preparation of the interim and annual financial statements Preparation and compilation of budget reports Report financial status to management Predict monthly cash flow Administer and control accounting procedures Develop financial policies and parameters Ensure statutory compliance to satisfy auditors Manage and control bank accounts and petty cash Develop and/or coordinate budgets Manage company assets Assist with ad hoc projects and technical research areas Perform ad hoc duties as required by management Qualifications: CA (SA) A minimum of 2 years’ post-articles experience Proficient in all related computer applications including SAP (advantageous), MS Office (intermediate level), etc. The ideal applicant will possess the following skills: A high degree of confidentiality, emotional maturity, ethical values, and integrity High stress tolerance and the ability to work efficiently under pressure SPAR North Rand is an equal opportunity employer.
