Overview An excellent opportunity has become available for experienced Team Leaders to join a well-established mining operation on a month-to-month contract basis. This role is ideal for strong leaders with hands-on underground experience who are passionate about safety productivity and team performance. Requirements Team Leader / Blasting Assistant Certificate (essential). Standard 8 (Grade 10) qualification or higher. Competent A Certificate (mandatory). Proven underground mining experience in: Shotcrete applications Mesh and lacing Barring operations Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills. Commitment to safety teamwork and operational excellence. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate underground mining activities to ensure safe efficient operations. Lead, motivate and guide teams to meet daily production and quality targets. Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and enforce compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA). Oversee the correct application of shotcrete, mesh, lacing and barring processes. Perform barring operations to ensure workplace stability and safety. Carry out workplace inspections and report unsafe conditions or faulty equipment. Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used and safety incidents.
