We are looking for a proactive and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimise our transport and fleet operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing up to 15+ trucks and driver teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable delivery performance across multiple routes and client sites. Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule daily and weekly transport operations. Allocate trucks and drivers to routes based on load requirements and timelines. Track vehicle movements and monitor on-time departure and arrival performance. Manage drivers: shift planning, performance check-ins, compliance, and discipline. Optimise routing to reduce fuel consumption and travel time. Ensure all trucks are properly licensed, roadworthy, and maintained on schedule. Coordinate breakdown response, towing, repairs, and maintenance bookings. Maintain accurate log sheets, trip reports, fuel usage records, and delivery documentation. Liaise with dispatch, warehouse staff, suppliers, and customers regarding delivery updates. Enforce safety policies and compliance with transport and road regulations. Requirements 5+ years’ experience in fleet, transport, or logistics management. Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple moving parts and make decisions under pressure. Computer literacy (route planning & fleet tracking systems advantageous). Valid driver’s license (Code 14 / PDP beneficial but not required). Knowledge of preventative maintenance planning and compliance standards.
