This role supports the delivery of high-quality audits and financial statements and contributes to an industry-leading corporate governance function. Responsibilities Reporting: Prepare consolidated annual financial statements (AFS) and ensure the floqast TB is set up monthly. Assist with the preparation and coordination of information for board reports where applicable. Review reporting and submissions for regulated markets and provide input as required. Audit & Compliance: Resolve compliance audit queries, prepare consolidated and subsidiary AFS, manage local statutory and group audits and relationships with auditors. Facilitate audit fee discussions and ensure year-end audit journals are posted. Act as a key liaison between the finance department and auditors, coordinating with finance teams on audit requests. Review audit requests, challenge anomalies, and manage quarterly audit requirements; keep audit trackers up to date. Statutory: Coordinate director changes of local statutory entities. Review equity of local statutory entities and discuss insolvency issues with the Finance Director of the relevant CGUs. Review intercompany loans, share-based payments and monthly reserves. Coordinate new company creations and liquidations. Assist with liquidation journals and AFS. Corporate Governance: Coordinate subsidiary engagement letters for signature by CGU directors. Maintain insurance schedules and monthly contract matrix updates for new agreements. Technical Accounting: Prepare ad hoc technical accounting assessments. Perform impairment assessments of assets or investments in subsidiaries. Liaise quarterly with the local finance team to identify impairment triggers. Assist in drafting process notes for monthly tasks to ensure business continuity.
