Role Summary Splunk is looking to hire an expert Enterprise Account Manager, Individual Contributor, to join the team focusing on the South African Telecommunications market predominantly. Job Role Consistently deliver adventurous license sales, support and service revenue targets. Have a strong reputation of exceeding sales quota, being in the top 10%–20% on your sales team/organisation. Focus on Enterprise Account penetration in the region, conduct effective account planning and opportunity management. Negotiate favourable pricing and business terms with large commercial & enterprises by selling value and return on investment. Work with partners and alliances in South Africa for maximum efficiency. Collaborate with sales engineering and in‑house teams at Splunk, as well as partner services resources. Build the Splunk sales methodology and processes optimally. Work closely with both international and domestic colleagues at Splunk to expand deal size and value to customers. Provide timely and insightful input back to other corporate functions, particularly product management and marketing data. Must Have Qualifications Enterprise Software selling knowledge and experience within Telecommunications Enterprises. Successful in finding and uncovering opportunities with net new and existing accounts via creative prospecting tactics and hunting activities. Ability to grow and scale upwards with the company; first‑line management experience a plus. Strong personable executive presence and well presented. Capability to make important forecasting commitments and forecasting accuracy. Outstanding management, social, written and presentation skills. Thrives in a fast‑growing, dynamic and lively work environment and comfortable being "exciting". Comfortable and able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team and corporate offices. Very relevant software industry experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security and/or analytics. Ability to articulate this through previous use cases. Extensive use of CRM systems such as Salesforce. Good track record of success and knowledge with prospects and customers in the defined territory.
