Direct message the job poster from East Cape Mushrooms We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Sales and operations coordinator to oversee and grow the sales of our fresh mushroom business. The Sales Manager’s core responsibility is to ensure that every mushroom produced is sold at the right price, to the right customer, and on time. This requires maintaining a close handle on production volumes, understanding customer preferences, managing all accounts. This role balances the delicate line between not over-promising supply while ensuring all mushrooms are sold. The Sales Manager will also oversee customer account administration, including payment follow-up and ensuring that sales processes are well-documented and efficient. Key Responsibilities Accurately match daily/weekly production with customer demand. In other words know exactly what’s in the fridge and what’s coming in at all times. Work with Directors to set and adjust pricing strategies. Negotiate promotions, and pricing with all accounts. Manage and grow relationships with all account Identify and engage new customers and markets Production & Forecast Alignment Monitor daily/weekly production forecasts and align them with customer orders. Fridge management is critical Ensure stock is allocated efficiently to minimise waste and maximise profitability. Communicate proactively with production teams to align sales commitments with yields. Quality control with the packshed. Administration & Finance Be proficient at invoicing and all sales documentation Maintain accurate customer records and order tracking. Reporting Provide weekly sales performance reports to Directors. Analyse trends in customer demand and market opportunities. Analytical thinker with ability to match supply and demand in real time. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Financial literacy. Strong account management and relationship-building skills. Ability to thrive under pressure and balance multiple priorities. Familiarity with fresh produce, FMCG, or perishable goods advantageous. Qualifications & Experience 1+ years experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, agriculture, or fresh produce.
