Role Summary To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well‑being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide First Aid to staff and learners. Dispense medication to children as requested by parents. Monitor immunisation records of learners. Implement health and safety protocols. Transport and accompany sick or injured children to medical facilities. Maintain record keeping. Submit medical insurance claims and organise payments to doctors and hospitals. Conduct drug testing if required. Provide counselling to learners and staff regarding medical issues. Manage and order medical stock including invoicing. Work hand‑in‑hand with the Boarding Team. Required to reside on campus in designated accommodation provided. Be responsible for night shift and on‑call duties during weekends when pupils are on campus. Perform any other reasonable tasks determined by the School Head/Line Manager. Ideal Candidate Excellent communication skills. Strong administration skills. Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Dispensing skills. Data reporting and computer literacy. Organised, detail‑oriented, hard‑working, and flexible. SANC registered nurse. Previous experience as a school nurse would be advantageous. Valid Basic Life Support and First Aid Level 3. Knowledge of medical accounting and administration. Driver’s licence and own vehicle. Must possess a dispensing licence or be in the process of obtaining one. Availability to work on weekends and be on call when required. Demonstrable passion for the profession. Excellent organisational skills and a positive attitude towards change.
