Department: Hospital MedicineSchedule: Full-Time (7 On / 7 Off) Position Summary: The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provides high-quality inpatient care to adult patients within our hospital setting. This provider plays a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes. This full-time position follows a 7 on / 7 off schedule, offering an excellent work–life balance in a supportive, team-focused environment. Responsibilities: Perform inpatient evaluations, daily rounding, and management of hospitalized patients Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop and implement treatment plans Collaborate with attending physicians and the care team to ensure coordinated patient care Document all patient encounters according to hospital and regulatory standards Communicate with patients and families regarding diagnoses, plans of care, and discharge instructions Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established protocols Qualifications: Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain one) Minimum one year of experience in a comparable inpatient or hospitalist environment required Current BLS/ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain) Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to manage complex patients in a fast-paced hospital setting Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation Full range of fringe benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan options Paid time off Supportive work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
