Summary of the Position The successful applicant’s primary responsibility is to perform the accounting functions and related reporting deliverables of a portfolio of closed‑ended clients in line with the relevant service level agreements. The applicant will also assist with audit liaison for the annual financial statement preparation in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Roles and Responsibilities Investor services and transfer agency: prepare deliverables on time, respond to investor queries, manage investor transactions (capital calls and distributions), and account for investor‑related transactions. Accounting and fund operation: understand fund documentation, capture fund payments, perform primary fund accounting functions (cash book processing, bank reconciliations, monthly/quarterly journals, performance fees, carried interest, equalisation, investment transactions). Annual audit (internal & external): support compilation of annual financial statements, prepare audit file, manage audit process, set audit timelines, facilitate communication, resolve audit queries. Client management: conduct operational calls, provide feedback, liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery. Regulatory: assist with regulatory and reporting requirements. Other tasks: ad‑hoc tasks, accurate time recording, training completion, billing submission, incident reporting. Skills Set & Requirements Accounting knowledge: up‑to‑date working knowledge of accounting standards and experience preparing NAVs and financial statements; understanding of funds and fund structures is an advantage; multi‑currency accounting experience. Technical skills: excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook); experience with Investran, Efront, and Paxus is advantageous. Organisational skills: highly organised, efficient, professional, with excellent administrative and organisational skills. Interpersonal skills: confident, professional, enthusiastic approach with clients and intermediaries; clear communication; collaborative within the team. Reporting Structure The Fund Accountant (Private Equity SA) will report to the allocated Leader(s) of the Private Equity Team.
