If you’re ready to be part of this exciting journey, your adventure begins here We are looking for a Service Engineer for our Field Service Offshore department. You will travel the world performing service, troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning of new systems and technical support for our customers in the offshore segment. When not traveling, you will collaborate with colleagues to support customers and employees worldwide. We will give you extensive training before you travel and you will be part of the Global Customer Support division responsible for Kongsberg Maritime’s services, upgrades and after‑market support. Our employees are present in 35 different countries. Responsibilities Provide technical support and assistance worldwide to internal and external customers. Commission new systems and perform service, maintenance, and modifications on Kongsberg delivered systems and equipment in the offshore segment. Support existing systems in operation and assist in annual sea trials. Work with dynamic positioning, vessel automation, thruster control systems, reference systems, environmental and attitude sensors. Serve as a points of contact for in‑house technical support towards internal and external customers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other relevant technical education. Experience from relevant activities is an advantage. Willingness to travel on short notice and meet health requirements that apply for offshore work. Meet requirements for applying for a work visa worldwide. Fluent written and spoken English and Norwegian language. Act on own initiative, take responsibility for results, and adhere to company rules and procedures. Use a methodical and systematic approach, plan ahead, define clear priorities, and allocate resources effectively. Analyse complex issues and problems, come up with rational judgments, and demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in own area. Co‑operate well with others, share knowledge, experience, information, and support others in pursuit of team goals.
