Introduction Komatsu South Africa has an amazing opportunity in the Operations Division in Witbank, for a Product Support and Sales Representative that provides expert technical advice internally and to customers, in support of Komatsu Mining Products. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4-6 years of working experience and 2 years of supervisory experience (an advantage), a Trade certificate plus experience with Komatsu products / heavy earth moving equipment in a mining environment. Duties & Responsibilities Plan for inspection of equipment (new and used in stock), with regard to dates, workshops, nomination of service, stock, and other resources. Collate all informative materials, Komtrax registration forms, warranties, and manuals. Conduct delivery inspection of machines. Liaise with customer on results of inspection, hand over warranties, sign relevant documentation, and register customer on Komtrax. Carry out machine and undercarriage inspections at set frequencies as agreed with the customer. Discuss the inspection report with the customer, with specific reference to deviations and impact. Plan and prepare for anticipated service calls in conjunction with stakeholders (including RAMP contracts). Plan for the modification of equipment. Oversee warranty repairs that may be required at the site. Provide technical advice & liaison with centralised Komatsu functions in the Service and Repairs of machines. Drive after-market parts sales through effective technical advice. Monitor modifications for quality and operational issues. Submit machine down notice (MDN) and machine up notice (MUN) as required. Arrange/ conduct basic technical training with the customer and Komatsu Field Servicemen. Monitor the Komatsu machine hours in conjunction with the component hourspiles and utilises reports to improve parts and service sales to the customer. Discuss significant deviations or issues with customers for proactive strategies to rectify problems.
