LPG Plant Operator

Our client, a leading player in the LPG sector, is seeking an experienced and safety-focused LPG Plant Operator to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a critical role for the safe and efficient operation of their processing facility. Requirements: National Certificate in Chemical Operations or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred. Has proven experience as a Plant Operator within the oil and gas industry, with LPG experience being highly advantageous Possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment maintenance Is familiar with regulations for handling and storing hazardous materials (LPG). Is physically fit for tasks involving lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces Has excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Is willing to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor LPG processing equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, and pipelines Conduct loading and offloading of LPG road tankers Perform regular plant inspections, monitor process parameters, and ensure adherence to safety standards (SOPs) Manage product transfers between tanks and blend LPG to meet specified vapour pressure requirements Conduct quality testing of products as per customer requirements Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and safety inspections Respond decisively to plant emergencies and participate in safety initiatives
