Job Description Key Performance Areas Ensures the effective Calibration and Validation of Laboratory Equipment and Instrumentation For SANBS and NBI Undertakes the maintenance, servicing and cleaning of laboratory equipment,instruments, alarms and recording devices for SANBS and NBI Undertakes repairs and maintenance of laboratory equipment for SANBS and NBI Ensures that Tools are maintained and signed for in and out of stock Undertakes Administrative Duties effectively and efficiently Manufacturing specialised equipment for SANBS and NBI Competencies Attention to Detail/ Analytical Thinking Flexibility and Adaptability Customer Orientation Technical Skills: TM Computer Literacy. TM Logistical Management. TM Laboratory Instrumentation Skills. Judgement and Decision Making Teamwork Problem Solving Drive and Belief in the Cause Communication Planning,Organising and Monitoring Ethical behaviour Minimum Requirements Education Grade 12 or equivalent. Electronics Certificate or National diploma electronics. Certified and registered Metrologist by National laboratory association as part of the Mertcert program. Instrumentation trade test.
