3rd Line Service Desk Analyst HGS Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa As a 3rd Line Service Desk Analyst, you will lead advanced support across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security. Based on‑site at our Woodstock, Cape Town office, you’ll take ownership of critical incidents, drive system improvements, and guide the wider team with your technical expertise. Candidates must be based in Cape Town, South Africa for this on‑site opportunity. You will be proactive, solutions‑focused, and ready to make a visible impact. If you’re driven to own complex challenges and raise the bar, this is your next step. Responsibilities Own and resolve critical incidents across server, network, and cloud environments. Lead advanced troubleshooting for Microsoft Server, Azure, networking, and virtualization technologies. Drive system improvements and continuous process enhancements. Mentor and guide junior team members. Requirements Demonstrated and robust experience in 3rd Line IT support or senior technical escalation roles. Strong troubleshooting skills across server, network, and cloud environments. Expertise in Microsoft Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration. Experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V, VMware) and advanced networking (Cisco, VLANs). PowerShell scripting and automation skills. Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members. Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools. ITIL certification and relevant Microsoft certifications preferred.
