Marketing Manager – Execution Excellence & Campaign ActivationLocation : Johannesburg, South AfricaType : Full-time | Mid-weight Execution SpecialistReports to : Chief Shopper Officer About the Role ACDOCO SA seeks a hands-on Marketing Manager to drive flawless execution of our marketing initiatives across all channels. This is an execution-focused role where you'll translate strategies (formulated by the team) into tangible market results. You'll lead a lean team including our Digital & Influencer Marketing Specialist, Shopper & Trade Marketing Manager and Experiential Manager, ensuring every campaign delivers measurable commercial impact. Having won over 31 international performance awards since we need someone who thrives on getting things done – not just another strategist, but a marketing operator who can take a brief and run with it, delivering exceptional execution across retail, e-commerce, q-commerce, digital, and shopper touchpoints. Key Responsibilities Campaign Execution & ActivationExecute integrated marketing campaigns from brief to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery across all vehiclesActivate brands at retail through innovative POS, in-store promotions, and shopper marketing initiativesManage day-to-day campaign operations including artwork approvals, print production, and distribution logisticsCoordinate with commercial and merchandising teams to ensure marketing activities align with sales / portfolio objectives and gridsDrive digital campaign execution through your direct reports, ensuring alignment to integrated approachDirectly manage the Digital & Influencer Marketing Specialist and Experiential ManagerCoordinate with international marketing teams and suppliers for campaign approval and executionBrief and manage creative agencies, ensuring outputs meet brand standards and deadlinesBuild strong working relationships with commercial, logistics and merchandising teams Performance Tracking & ReportingTrack campaign performance against agreed KPIs, targets , ROMI, ROI and sales-out volume baseline liftPrepare weekly execution updates and monthly performance reportsMonitor budgets and ensure optimal allocation across campaignsExecute comprehensive quarterly reportsIdentify execution / performance / cost efficiency improvements and implement process optimisation improvements What We're Looking For 5-7 years' hands-on marketing / trade / shopper experience in FMCG, CPG, or retail environmentsProven track record of campaign execution and activation managementStrong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple campaigns simultaneouslyExperience managing small teams and boutique agenciesRetail, trade and shopper marketing execution experience is crucialBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related fieldCritical Execution SkillsAction-oriented : You measure success by what gets done, not what gets plannedDetail-obsessed : Nothing slips through the cracks on your watchCommercially minded : Every execution decision considers sales impact / sales-out volume uplift / ROIProcess-driven : You create systems that ensure consistent deliveryResults-focused : You track everything and optimize based on data What We DON'T Need Another pure strategist or "big picture thinker" (this is only part of the scope)Someone who needs extensive briefing – you should grasp concepts quickly and executeOne who needs multiple meetings and committees to make decisionsPortfolio hoppers – we value stability and commitment Your Support Structure Chief Shopper Officer : Provides shopper / consumer insights, retail strategy, and commercial directionStrategy Head : Delivers brand strategy, positioning, and long-term planningYour Direct Reports Digital & Influencer Marketing Specialist : Executes all digital campaigns and influencer partnershipsExperiential Manager : Manages events, activations, and brand experiencesShopper & Trade Marketing Manager : Executes all in-store / ecommerce activity including plans, POSM, retail / merch training, incentives, bundles, VAPs etc. The Brands You'll Love Portfolio includes Batiste Dry Shampoo, Dr. Beckmann, Hero Mighty Patch, The Breath Co / Therabreath, Jordan Oral Care, LifeStyles Condoms, SKYN, AnuSol, Contempo Condoms, Alpecin and more 31 international performance awards since First 30 Days Work on brands your friends actually use / talk about What Success Looks Like First 30 Days Take ownership of all active campaigns and ensure seamless continuation Meet with all key stakeholders and establish working rhythms Review and optimize current execution processes First 90 Days Successfully execute at least 2 major campaigns end-to-end Establish clear KPIs and reporting structures for your team Implement at least 3 process improvements that enhance execution efficiency Why Join ACDOCO SA?
