Role Description We’re looking for a senior data engineer with strong data migration experience. This role will lead complex data transformations and migrations across core systems (PAS and supporting) and help with the design of a unified data model. Responsibilities Lead data migration efforts between PAS and peripheral systems across the organization. Drive mapping, transformation, and data integration logic across multiple sources. Involved in future‑state single view of customer (SVoC) leveraging Snowflake. Identify appropriate tooling and approaches for large‑scale on‑prem and cloud data migrations. Support financial reporting requirements that span across two legal entities during transition. Collaborate with internal DBAs and data engineering teams. Support integration of claims data, commissions, clawbacks, and other non‑PAS data. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on migration projects. Proven experience with large data migrations across enterprise systems. Deep knowledge of SQL and experience mainly working with MS SQL Server; beneficial experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle is also welcomed. Experience with Microsoft data tooling (SSIS, etc.) and Snowflake. Familiarity with data modeling for reporting (SSRS) and SVoC solutions. Strong communicator able to explain data migration strategies to business and technical stakeholders. Tech Environment Snowflake (for cloud‑based SVoC) Cloud data architecture (secondary) Nice to Haves Exposure to AI‑assisted data mapping or schema matching tools. Financial reporting systems knowledge. Previous experience in insurance or merger data programmes.
