ROLE PROFILE Head of Finance What You’ll Do As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of all financial operations across Bob, ensuring sustainable growth, financial integrity, and operational excellence. Leading and mentoring the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth. Overseeing day-to-day financial operations across all Bob entities. Managing cash flow, payments, and debt collection to ensure financial stability. Acting as the primary contact with banking partners, auditors, and tax authorities. Developing, implementing, and ensuring adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and processes. Driving accurate and timely month‑end close, reconciliations, and management reporting. Overseeing payroll, VAT, statutory returns, and compliance filings. Providing strategic insights and financial modelling to support decision‑making by the executive team. Partnering with business units to analyse financial performance, identify opportunities, and resolve operational or technical issues. Supporting long‑term growth through forecasting, scenario planning, and risk management. Ensuring customer experience excellence in billing and finance‑related interactions. What We’re Looking For Education: Essential – Bcom (Hons) specialisation in Accounting Science Professional qualification: Essential – Registered Chartered Accountant (SA) (SAICA) Experience: Finance experience – 7+ years post‑articles experience in a finance role, with at least 2+ years in a management position. Industry‑related – Experience in e‑commerce, fintech, or technology‑driven businesses would be an advantage. Proven track record in financial management, compliance, and team leadership. Working with Sage Intacct will be considered advantageous. Key Skills: Financial Leadership: Strong technical finance skills, with the ability to guide both operational and strategic financial decisions. Analytical Thinking: Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities; ability to translate numbers into actionable insights. Strategic Mindset: Ability to balance detail with big‑picture thinking, aligning financial operations with company growth objectives. Communication: Clear and confident communication with executives, teams, and external stakeholders. Judgement & Ownership: Strong decision‑making skills, integrity, and accountability. Time & Project Management: Ability to prioritise and deliver against deadlines in a dynamic environment. People Management: Skilled in managing, motivating, and developing a high‑performing team.
