Tasks We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team on a permanent hybrid basis. You'll be working with one of our major banking clients, based in Johannesburg , helping to deliver critical software systems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to manage timelines, resources, and technical delivery. It's ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with leadership and a passion for high-impact delivery. Requirements Experience & Skills: 5+ years of Data Engineering or similar experience (essential) Strong expertise in Ab Initio , SQL , ETL , Data Analysis , and Data Modelling Background in the Banking and/or Consulting sectors (highly preferred) Experience managing teams or leading projects (preferred) Familiarity with Agile , Project Management , and the Software Development Lifecycle (advantageous) Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Proven ability to deliver within the financial services environment Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred) Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
