Our client, a well-established accounting and finance firm, is seeking a proactive professional to lead their accounting team. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting, manage month-end and year-end processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic insights to support business decisions. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the preparation, review, and accuracy of financial statements and management accounts. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely reporting. Supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff to ensure high performance and compliance. Ensure adherence to IFRS, SA GAAP, and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide strategic insights to management and clients. Manage client relationships, addressing queries and delivering excellent service. Oversee audit preparations and liaise with external auditors. Implement and monitor internal controls to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
