Group Investment Platform (GIP) is building a new and exciting financial services business which provides a leading-edge investment platform and supporting services to independent financial advisers. As part of STANLIB, Africa’s largest wealth manager, Group Investment Platform is able to leverage the latest global technologies and worldwide partners to deliver an investment platform based on modern architecture and straight through processing. This will deliver a highly competitive proposition based on customer centricity and digital enablement. Purpose To provide specialist advice and support in advice proposition development, and develop appealing propositions for financial advisors aligned to the experience frameworks developed for FAs and customers. Key Responsibilities Regulatory impact analysis on clients/advisors/business/processes and implementation of regulatory changes. Scoping of proposition requirements, and testing of solutions. Proposition representative on projects. Commercial impact analysis. Drafting of business and IT proposals. Drafting and review of internal and external correspondence. Representation on industry bodies such as ASISA where required. Best practice analysis; Competitor and trend analysis. Presenting and training; Management of relationships with senior staff in the Business Units as well as with Compliance, IT and Marketing. Management of 3rd party relationships (e.g. software vendors, technology suppliers and Fund Management Companies and their administrators). Operational process management and improvement Experience Minimum of 5-7 years in the investment industry Functional industry knowledge, at minimum: Knowledge of legislation: FICA, FAIS, CISCA, Pension Funds Act, Long term insurance act. Knowledge of tax rules and processes. Discretionary and Pre and post retirement solutions and vehicles. Mancos and Unit Trusts. Discretionary Fund management and Model portfolios.
