What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it) Your primary responsibility is the Project Management surrounding engineering design of bespoke mining equipment solutions and installations. You will be working within a multidisciplinary design team to deliver the required project outcomes and achieve client satisfaction, within specified time, cost, and quality constraints associated with allocated projects. Where you’ll be doing it You’ll be a senior member of a local subsidiary of a global organisation. Based in Cape Town northern suburbs, offering turnkey project management solutions to the marine mining, offshore, and tunnelling industries. You’ll enjoy some hybrid flexibility; however, most of your time will be spent in the office, collaborating and contributing to office culture and projects. What you’ll need Innovation and sound thinking based on experience are required. An accomplished skill level in 3D and 2D draughting is essential, with a good understanding of strength of materials. You will need to demonstrate a minimum of 5 full years post-qualification within an engineering design and/or projects environment. Knowledge base and experience within the Marine Mining, Oil and Gas, Marine Infrastructure, or Heavy Engineering sectors are necessary. As this role will involve detailed engineering designs, a Degree, BSc, or BEng is essential along with a clear criminal record due to restricted client areas.
