Academic Coordinator – 3-year Part-time (20 hours per week) Rhodes University invites suitably qualified candidates to join the Department of Political and International Studies as an Academic Coordinator, working 20 hours per week on a 3-year contract. Main Objectives Coordinate the activities of the Global Partnership Network (GPN), an international research network partnering with universities and civil society organisations worldwide. Support the GPN’s thematic areas: partnership in development cooperation, the global economy, and knowledge production. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Humanities or Social Sciences; an Honours degree is advantageous. At least one year’s relevant experience in academic coordination, program management, or international partnerships/networks; experience working in a team; interest in the GPN thematic areas. Familiarity with academic research processes and university structures. Previous experience setting up and maintaining databases, exposure to global networks or international collaboration projects, and social media management are advantageous. Remuneration Grade 11, Cost to Company per annum (approximately): R395,592.97. Closing Date 18 November 2025.
