Construction Manager – MEP Installation Exciting opportunity available for experienced and qualified Construction Managers in the Construction and Engineering Industry. You will lead the MEP installation works for the assigned project area, driving daily productivity, quality, and safety so that all scope is delivered on programme, within budget and in full compliance with contract specifications, QA / QC standards and ALEC business guidelines. Location United Arab Emirates – Dubai (South African citizens). Duties & Responsibilities Lead MEP installation, ensuring productivity, quality and safety. Focus areas: HSE & Quality Assurance Site Execution & Productivity People & Sub-contractor Management Procurement & Logistics Commercial & Programme Control Issue daily installation plans, efficiency targets and progress feedback to the delivery team. Brief, implement and record Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and DSTI schedules. Ensure drawings, specifications and material schedules are up-to-date and approved; relay scope changes to Project Engineers and Commercial. Maintain procurement lead register, tracking delivery dates and resolving supply constraints. Keep accurate site records of constraints, materials, tooling, labour and external dependencies; audit stocks and minimise idle resources. Interface with subcontractors and vendors to secure timely deliveries, access and specialist support. Drive labour productivity and safe working practices; administer labour evaluation process and recognise high performers. Promote zero-defect, zero-LTI, zero-near-miss mindset across all crews. Support testing, commissioning, spares and warranty requirements in collaboration with Project Engineers. Provide weekly and ad-hoc reports to the Project Manager covering progress, efficiencies, risks and recovery actions. Undertake any additional duties reasonably aligned with the role and business needs. Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or NVQ equivalent). 7+ years of MEP construction experience, including 2–3 years in a senior role within the UAE. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven leadership of multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors. Excellent problem-solving, communication and pressure-handling abilities. Desirable PMP or similar project-management certification; Lean / Agile exposure. Experience in sustainable-building practices. BIM-enabled site-management skills.
