To be responsible for promotional demand and statistical forecasting by constantly reviewing and improving promotional forecasting accuracy together with achieving total business forecasting targets by alignment with merchandise plans and team, within an allocated portfolio. To drive profitability through increased sales by improved promotional forecasting driving better stock efficiency and working capital. Job Description: To be responsible and partner with the business as an SME for promotions forecasting accuracy within an allocated Portfolio. To be responsible for optimized inventory levels in conjunction with Supply Planning within the Frontshop Portfolio focusing on promotional forecasting. To actively collaborate with category and provide input into determining better promotional forecasting. To analyse and make recommendations to the merchandising team regarding promotional forecast volume changes. To support the Demand Planning Team in achieving Total forecasting Accuracy Targets through weekly/monthly forecasting reviews and formalise concepts are aligned to targets and budgets. To work with Demand Planning Manager to monitor future projections, inventory flow and validate monthly forecast for open to buy management. To partner and consult with Supply Planners, to effectively utilize stock efficiency. To partner and consult with the Category Managers by reviewing promotional forecasting and looking ahead with local and long lead time suppliers and to contribute favourably to category (SIOP) meetings. To ensure alignment in allocated Portfolio in maintaining critical path deadlines affecting promotional forecasting. To generate and provide promotional forecasting reports, conduct post mortem analysis to identify trends and recommendations to maximize results. To accurately capture any forecast adjustments required timeously daily.
