Refrigeration Foreman

Reference : NES -TSH-1 A leading poultry processing facility is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Foreman to oversee the ammonia-based refrigeration plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running maintenance and compliance of the refrigeration systems critical to daily production. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise and strict adherence to safety regulations. Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities : Manage and supervise the refrigeration team and plant operations. Ensure optimal performance of refrigeration systems and equipment specifically ammonia-based installations. Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairs to prevent breakdowns and ensure uptime. Maintain and enforce safety protocols in line with ammonia regulations and legal standards. Coordinate planned maintenance schedules, record-keeping and regulatory compliance documentation. Monitor energy efficiency and implement continuous improvement measures. Train and mentor technicians and ensure operational readiness. Work closely with production and engineering teams to support operational requirements. Minimum Requirements : CAT B Ammonia License essential. Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, preferably within food processing or cold storage environments. Hands‑on experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems. Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems related to refrigeration. Understanding of SHEQ standards, risk management and emergency procedures.
