To fulfil the role as the Mechanical Engineer through displaying thorough understanding of mechanical engineering projects within the built environment consulting envelope, displaying clear intent in achieving unique and probable solutions. To clearly identify Client needs and systematically develop the required deliverables timeously throughout all the design phases and control workflow with a broad understanding of the other design engineering disciplines involved. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning (HVAC) design projectsPerform Client needs analysisConduct site assessments/surveys and status quo reportsCompile maintenance and repair reportsProduce heat load calculationsPropose viable conceptsIdentify the most suitable system to be used based on Client requirementsDesign according to the applicable StandardsConsult catalogues, OEMs/suppliers for the latest available system componentsPerform ducting design work and related equipment selectionAssist with Fire Protection, Fire Detection and Fire Suppression design projectsAssist in compiling Rational Fire design reportsAssist with Wet Services design projectsPerform hydraulic calculations for water reticulationsProduce drawings for all project phases with the aid of in-house draftsmanCompile engineering design reports for all project phasesCompile tender and procurement documentation, Bills of Quantities, Budget Estimates, Scope of works and Specification documents.Peer review of reports and drawings (ISO 9001 requirement)Construction monitoring and supervisionProvide mechanical design for a range of projects as per requiredCommunicate effectively and understand the implications thereofMake full use of our Server/Cloud service as part of the Quality Management SystemAttend internal and external meetings and site inspectionsResponsible for project and team administrative dutiesWork directly with clients and other professionals with minimal supervisionWork closely with other professionals and be able to co-ordinate work from engineers from other departmentsResponsible for managing project team and ensuring work is delivered on time and on budget.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum 3-5 years experience.QUALIFICATION BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering SKILLSGeneral:Must have a valid Code B drivers licence.Must be computer literate and be able to operate MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.Must be familiar with AutoCAD/Revit software.Must be fluent in English.
