Their teams operate at the intersection of innovation, technical depth, and practical utility, developing systems that support long-term sustainability.What You’ll DoSelect, size, and evaluate battery technologies including Li-ion, flow, and hybrid systemsDesign integration with renewable generation and grid-connected applicationsDevelop charge and discharge control logic for system optimisationEngineer thermal management, fire suppression, and safety protocolsConduct performance testing and develop system acceptance criteriaWhat You BringBEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering (Pr Eng advantageous)5–9 years’ experience in battery systems, power systems, or related fieldsStrong understanding of BESS technologies, control logic, and system behaviourExperience with grid integration, renewable interfacing, or utility-scale applicationsAbility to solve technical problems with practical, implementable solutionsWhat Success Looks LikeDelivery of robust, compliant, and efficient BESS designsEffective integration of systems into broader power and renewable environmentsStrong collaboration across engineering, operations, and project teamsConsistent adherence to safety, performance, and quality standards
