What youll be doingSupport all products and servicesSupport for the entire Africa (mainly Southern Africa, but willing to support Central, East and North-West AfricaIncrease and support sales of products and services by providing technical assistanceDesign and improve equipment to extend service lifeDeliver products, service or bundled solutions that were soldPerform cost estimates and calculations on solutions offered as part of the quotation processAccountable for delivery results and performanceActively determine and pursue profitable business opportunities for products and services by analysing customer and market needsIncrease sales of products and services by providing technical assistance to key customers and establishing and maintaining good relationships with Engineering and other technical personnel at customersSupport sales by providing technical assistance with regards to the selection, application and proper use of full range of productsRe-design equipment where the customer has experienced problems with the existing products-based arrangement or where new technology can be incorporated to improve product efficiency andlead to cost reductionsDesign or develop new solutions for customersDeliver products, services or bundled solutions sold to customers by providing effective Engineering, Project management or other professional servicesPerform bearing failure analysis and provide customer with detailed report and recommendationsManage, measure and interact with suppliers of engineered solutionsGenerate General Assembly (GA), layout and conceptual drawings for quotation purposes which could be developed into final solutions by inhouse draughtingKeep up to date with the latest product knowledge anddevelopmentsPerform training on products and services for inhouse, distributor, branch and customer personnelContinuously develop and improve capabilities for integrated services deliveryPlan effective and optimised resource utilisation and allocation against service delivery and project requirements. Including cost control programs on engineered products and project deliveriesAdhere to all applicable company policies and proceduresEncourage and implement process improvementsEnsure effective teamwork and working in a seamless manner with all service delivery, customer services and sales functionsDrive sustainability targets and functionsWhat youll needFormal Engineering qualification- BSc Eng, BEng, BTech or NHD Eng in Mechanical EngineeringProject Management qualification will be an advantageProfessional associations/memberships will be an advantageMinimum 2-3 years technical support at customer facing levelMinimum 2-3 years Product Engineering, in either Application, Project or Design EngineeringKnowledge of Engineering Draughting and management systemsAnalytical approach to problem solvingExcellent planning, organisational and administrative skillsWorking knowledge of bearings, seals, tribology, CoMo, lubrication systems etc.Willingness to travelWhat is in it for you?Work for a Multi-National Company with huge potential for growth.TCOE: R 850 000 R 950 000, inclusive of basic salary, car allowance, company contribution to medical aid (50% subsidy) and provident fund (9% company contribution).A Few Things to KnowHigh levels of concentration requiredFrequent domestic and some cross-border travel will be required to visit and engage with networkWill spend time travelling, mostly driving, sometimes flying to remote customersWill be required to work outside normal working hours if neededRegular exposure to mitigated and controlled risksPPE required Ready to Apply?Click Apply and please complete your application in full.If you dont hear from us within 3 months, your application was not successful.
