Senior Airfreight Controller

Operational Communicate with client services representative and / or origin/destination agents where required with regards to shipmentsReceive pre-alert for incoming shipmentsEnsure that consol files are registered as soon as possible after receiving the pre-alert on CargowiseTrack shipments with carriersRegistering shipments upon receipt of pre alert taking special note of details and cargo requirementsEnsuring RCG is completed where requiredEnsuring full consignment received and updating all partiesChecking client account status prior to invoicing to ensure CBO payments are received prior to dispatchEnsure invoicing to clients are done within KPIArrange transport for shipments where requiredArrange payment to 3rd parties where requiredFollowing up on cargo drawn from airlinesSubmitting required docs for plant, port health, state vet to required people to obtain releasePutting airline on notice for missing cargo and follow up accordinglyManaging full claims process with the airline where requiredInform CS of damaged cargoInform CS of any stops (CBCU etc)Follow up with customs team for outstanding entriesCheck cargo on hand report for discrepancies for shipments on the floor longer than it should beSend daily status updates to all partiesManage daily / monthly reports as per instruction from manager 2. FinancialCheck for WIPS and Accruals on "Profit and Loss" tabEnsure storage is not occurred for late submission of documentsEnsure WIPs and Accruals are done in the correct time and correct amount to not create losses 3. CustomerWhere there is interaction with clients a strong relationship has to be fosteredThe customer must come first in everything we doResolve queries that affect claims quickly and resolve the issue 4. ProcessFollow the standard process flow of the file and if there are any deviations bring to the attention of the supervisor immediately. 5. QualityEvery file must be done to the best of your abilityEnsure all milestones are complete.
