Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who can operate in either a design-focused role or a project-focused role within a heavy industrial and mineral processing environment. The position involves mechanical design, equipment development, engineering analysis, project coordination and hands-on support across fabrication, assembly and commissioning.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign EngineeringProduce 3D models, detailed drawings and bills of materialsDevelop mechanical components, assemblies and complete equipmentConduct engineering calculations and ensure structural and mechanical integritySupport fabrication teams by resolving design queries and checking manufacturabilityParticipate in design reviews, QA checks and client inspectionsProject EngineeringCoordinate engineering activities from design through fabrication and deliveryManage project timelines, documentation and supplier interactionsSupport site measurements, installations, testing and commissioningLiaise with mechanical, electrical and process engineering teamsAssist with technical reports, progress updates and client communicationRequirementsBEng Mechanical or Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)Experience in heavy machinery, mining equipment, fabrication or industrial plant engineeringProficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or InventorUnderstanding of fabrication, machining and assembly processesStrong problem solving and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced manufacturing environmentGraduates welcome to apply
