My client, a leading company based in Durban North requires a competent and experienced Software Project Manager to join their team.The Software Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing IT software implementation and enhancement projects. They will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with quality and business requirements. The role requires proactive stakeholder engagement, resource coordination, risk management, and disciplined project governance.This position is reportig to the MD.Requirements:Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management / IT Project Management certification (Prince2, PMP, Agile, Scrum Master) beneficialKnowledge of IT infrastructure and software development processes35 years proven track record managing IT software delivery projectsExperience managing cross‑functional project teamsVendor and stakeholder management experienceStrong leadership and motivational skillsHigh accountability and ownership mindsetExcellent facilitation and conflict‑resolution skillsProactive and solutions‑oriented approachAbility to remain calm and effective under pressureSA Citizens onlyMust be Criminal ClearMust reside in the Greater Durban area or be willing to relocate at your own costDUTIES (not limited to)Deliver IT software projects on time, within scope and budgetDrive full adherence to Project Governance frameworks and processesMaintain strong stakeholder communication and expectation alignmentEnsure accurate status reporting and progress trackingContribute to continuous improvement of delivery practicesMonitoring and reporting on resource utilisation where requiredManage end‑to‑end delivery of software projects within agreed scope, time, cost, and quality parametersEnsure effective collaboration between Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, and other internal and external stakeholdersDrive requirements gathering, documentation, and change control processesFacilitate project meetings and progress reportingEnsure clear and timeous communication to stakeholders at all levelsMaintain updated project governance documentation and artefactsEnsure risks, issues, and dependencies are logged, tracked, and resolvedManage vendor relationships and performance where applicable
