This is an opportunity for a professional who takes immense pride in their craftsmanship and is committed to maintaining the standards of excellence that define this world-class hotel.Core criteria: Diploma/Certificate as an Electrician is essentialAt least 5 years relevant experience in a luxury hospitality environmentAbility to use electrical, hand and power toolsThorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations, and guidelinesBasic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, etc.Critical thinker and problem-solving abilityVery good communication and interpersonal skillsValid drivers license and reliable transportation The ideal candidate must live within a reasonable travelling distance from StellenboschKey responsibilities:Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systemsPerform general electrical maintenanceInspect circuit breakers and other electrical components on siteIdentify maintenance risks on equipmentIdentify electrical & mechanical faultsKeep daily logs and records of all maintenance servicesEnsure compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety ActPerform general maintenance workCollaborate with the team and professionals
