REQUIREMENTSMatric certificate, or relevant qualificationValid drivers license ESSENTIALMin two years experience in technical support, installations, or a similar fieldBasic understanding of networking concepts and broadband technologiesAbility to troubleshoot technical issues independently and accuratelyComfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spacesStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood customer service skills with a professional attitudeAbility to work in a team and assist colleagues when requiredStrong organisational skills with the ability to update documentation accuratelyPhysically fit and able to handle equipment and toolsReliable, responsible, and able to work under minimal supervision DUTIESManage the helpdesk during office hours by interacting with customers in a professional manner and providing technical support and adviceUpdate newly installed customers on the systemUpdate UNMS by adopting devices dailyPerform stock control over all inventory at the office premisesInteract with customers in a professional manner and provide technical support and adviceUpdate Google Calendar/OneNote with work completed on installations and repairsStay up to date with the latest broadband technologies and techniquesTravel to residential homes and businesses for service calls with the company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all road laws and speed limitsMaintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal operating conditionsProvide written and verbal instructions to customers on operating their routersTest functionality and performance following system installationsInform customers of limitations associated with their selected packagesKeep track of inventory while in the fieldRemove equipment after a client cancels or changes servicePerform ad hoc tasks as required by managementInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot broadband services for customersConduct site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceabilityClimb ladders or work in tight spaces to install or repair equipmentTest and repair faulty equipment and resolve infrastructure issuesAdhere to all required health and safety regulations and conduct a weekly tool talkIdentify unsafe situations and take appropriate corrective actionWork effectively in a team and assist teammates where necessary Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience Join us on SOCIAL MEDIA or visit our WEBSITE for more information.
