Planet fitness is looking for a Data Analyst that will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights to drive business decisions. This individual is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities. The Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic goals, improve processes, and provide data-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

1.Data Collection and Analysis

  • Gather, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and develop dashboards and reports.

2.Reporting and Visualization

  • Create clear and effective data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences.

3.Business Insights and Decision Support

  • Collaborate with business units to understand objectives, challenges, and key metrics.
  • Develop actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs to track business performance.

4.Data Integrity and Quality

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data by implementing quality assurance processes.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues or discrepancies.

5.Process Optimization and Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop automated solutions to reduce manual data processing tasks.

6.Collaboration and Support

  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business teams to ensure alignment on data requirements.
  • Support the design and implementation of data models, pipelines, and other analytics infrastructure.

Education, Experience Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelors degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or R).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts.
  • Advanced certifications in data analytics or related fields (e.g., Google Data Analytics, Tableau, or SQL certifications).
