The ideal candidates will have recent experience in hotels or upmarket restaurants/bars, strong mixology skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.Experience & RequirementsSouth African citizen with a valid ID (non-negotiable)At least 2 years bartending experience in a hotel or upmarket restaurant/bar within the last 2 yearsNo employment gaps longer than 5 months unless valid reasons are clearly providedMatric certificate (Grade 12) requiredStrong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spiritsAbility to work under pressure while maintaining service excellenceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProfessional, well-groomed, and reliableAbility to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidaysTeam player with a guest-first mindsetDuties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, to hotel standardsDeliver excellent guest service, ensuring a vibrant and engaging bar atmosphereUpsell beverages and promote specials to maximise revenueMaintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the barAssist with stock control, ordering, and inventory managementEnsure compliance with liquor licensing, safety, and hygiene regulationsHandle guest queries and complaints professionallyCollaborate with the Food & Beverage team to support events and activationsImportant Application NotesApplications that do not meet the critical requirements (South African citizenship, Matric, recent hotel/upmarket restaurant or bar experience, and valid employment history) will not be consideredEnsure your CV is 100% updatedAbout the HotelThe President Hotel is on a journey to be recognised as a true luxury destination.
