With a mission driven by performance and integrity, they provide an environment where employees can develop their expertise while making a meaningful impact.The Role: Personal Lines UnderwriterAs an Underwriter, you will be responsible for processing and managing policies while building and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires accurate administration, sound product knowledge, and proactive client engagement to ensure retention of business and facilitate new opportunities. You will also play a key role in supporting compliance, service delivery, and the overall business mission.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and grow client relationships to ensure retention and service excellenceReceive, process, and finalise instructions from clients, brokers, and stakeholdersUnderwrite new and existing business quotes and process amendments, renewals, and cancellationsManage unmet premiums and mitigate cancellations by engaging with clients proactivelyEnsure accuracy of documentation, correspondence, and record-keepingAdhere to all internal and external guidelines, mandates, and SLAsCompile and generate reports for management as requiredInterpret and apply technical short-term insurance information to decision-makingStay informed on competitor and insurer products to recommend improvementsAbout YouMinimum 3 years experience in underwriting within short-term insuranceStrong knowledge of insurance products, classes, and industry regulationsFAIS compliant with relevant qualificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven sales and client service abilitiesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong administration and organisational skillsAnalytical mindset with sound decision-making abilityProactive, professional, and committed to ongoing self-development
