ENVIRONMENT:OUR client, a cutting-edge Tech company, has an exciting opportunity for a fully Remote role for the coding expertise of an Intermediate – Senior Full Stack Developer with strong PHP to join its team. You will, however, be required to attend face-to-face Sprint planning sessions every three weeks in Somerset West, Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications using a modern tech stack. Applicants will require a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, 3-7 years relevant work experience with proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Laravel, Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, RESTful API & Git. DUTIES:Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using both front-end and back-end technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and user experience.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the stack.Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to improving development processes. REQUIREMENTS:Qualifications –Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience/Skills -Intermediate to Senior (3-7+ years of professional Web Development experience).Back-End: Proficient in PHP and MySQL for building robust server-side applications and database management.Front-End: Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for creating responsive and interactive user interfaces.Experience with Laravel for Back-end Development.Proficiency in Vue.js for building dynamic Font-end applications.Familiarity with Tailwind CSS for rapid and responsive UI styling.Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.Experience with Version Control systems (e.g., Git).Flexible to accommodate occasional after-hours work for critical deployments or maintenance.Preferred to haves -Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).Familiarity with DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines or containerisation (e.g., Docker).Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit, Jest) and writing Unit/Integration Tests.Understanding of software best practices and web accessibility standards. Advantageous –Exposure to other frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Symfony).Experience with GenAI LLM Integration and Prompt Engineering.Remote Work Requirements -Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup.Proficiency with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Teams).Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. ATTRIBUTES:Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Intermediate Full-Stack Developer (3-6 years of experience):Salary Range: R31,000 to R45,000 per monthSenior Full-Stack Developer (7+ years of experience):Salary Range: R61,000 to R81,000 per month
