Minimum Qualifications:Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).Solid understanding of South African engineering codes and regulations.Strong computer literacy, especially in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience in 3D printing design and manufacturing would be a strong advantage.A valid vehicle drivers licence is essential.Experience & Technical Competence:5 to 10 years' experience working with the Autodesk Suite (Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.) on engineering projects aligned with the companys offerings.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, estimating, contractors, suppliers, and clients.Deep technical knowledge of mechanical products, systems, and manufacturing processes.Familiarity with automated equipment and robotic systems is advantageous.Proficient in producing and editing P&ID drawings.Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.Experience with Odoo ERP will be a plus.Key Responsibilities:Understand and interpret project scopes to deliver technically sound and cost-effective solutions.Create presentation drawings for internal and external approval.Perform engineering and design calculations, including thermal dynamics, pneumatics, and flow systems.Lead the development of purpose-built 3D mechanical designs using Autodesk tools.Generate detailed 2D drawings with accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).Develop manufacturing drawings directly from 3D models with a high degree of precision.Prepare and send laser cut DXFs for supplier pricing.Assist with supplier and sub-supplier selection.Uphold high standards of quality control and ensure all work aligns with project documentation requirements.Adhere strictly to confidentiality and health & safety regulations.Produce reports and documentation throughout project lifecycles.Travel locally and internationally as required must have a valid passport.What Makes You a Great Fit:You make quick and accurate decisions under pressure.You thrive in high-paced environments and are comfortable managing multiple, changing priorities.Youre an analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail and technical accuracy.You possess strong communication, presentation, and conflict resolution skills.You're naturally deadline-driven, organised, and proactive.You bring a solutions-oriented mindset to every challenge.You understand the importance of planning, prioritising, and time management in delivering exceptional results.
