An established construction company is looking for a skilled Accountant to strengthen their finance function. If you have 35 years accounting experience and a BCom qualification, this is an opportunity to bring your financial expertise to an environment where every number helps construct something real and lasting. ð¼ Your Role in the Build:As an Accountant, youll take ownership of the full financial function, ensuring that reporting, reconciliations, and controls are built on accuracy and consistency. Youll:Manage the full financial function including the general ledger, reconciliations, and trial balance up to financial statements.Prepare management accounts and assist with reporting.Ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.Maintain financial records aligned with company and audit standards.Work on BuildSmart (construction accounting software) to manage project and cost reporting.Collaborate with site and project teams to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.Support budgeting, cash flow management, and cost tracking across multiple projects.ð Your Professional Foundation:BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification (essential).35 years solid accounting experience, ideally in construction or project-based environments.Strong working knowledge of BuildSmart or similar construction finance systems.Exposure to the full financial function (GL, recons, TB, and management accounts, up to FS).Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.A proactive, hands-on approach someone who takes ownership and builds processes that last.ð Why Build Your Career Here:This is an opportunity to work with a trusted construction group that values integrity, structure, and growth.
