Title: Maintenance Foreman/General Engineering SupervisorLocation: Mozambique (Expat)Requirements:Minimum: N6 plus/or trade test through a recognised Institution plus Code 8Thorough knowledge of diamond plants and DMS and Recovery circuitsAuditing skillsIn-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining and processing sectorDesired: As above plus government ticket plus ECSA Professional registrationMinimum: 5 years DMS and Recovery or separation technology environment experience of which at least 3 years on senior management levelDesired: 8 years DMS and Recovery or separation technology environment experience of which at least 5 years will be on senior management levelResponsibilities:Coordinate the artisans to ensure maintenance and safety targets are achieved on time and within budgetCoordinate the planning, scheduling and implementation of budgeted projects within the area of responsibilityBe responsible for the safe installation and the proper operation, running and maintenance of all machinery; be responsible for the safe erection and proper maintenance of all buildings, structures and tanksEnsure timely sourcing and delivery of equipment and services for the operations. Ensuring that materials, supplies and services are procured for the execution of the operations at the most competitive prices and are of the required qualityEnsure all safety appliances, mechanisms and guards are maintained in good condition; the provisions of the regulations relating to machinery are fully complied with; and the work of any apparatus or machine, the use of which may constitute a danger to any person, is stoppedConduct audits when required to ensure compliance with the MHSA, Company COP, and proceduresEnsure the asset register remains up to date and optimises the maintenance schedules to ensure legal compliance and to ensure the target availability of equipmentRequired to work overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need ariseOversee and manage the maintenance department to ensure optimum machine availabilityEffective utilisation of the plant's preventative maintenance program (Fiix) for both equipment and tooling used for productionCompliance with applicable statutory requirements and Client policies/proceduresEnsure that tooling used is in good working conditions at all times and liaise with production / technical teams to ensure tooling preparation is completed timeously and in line with production scheduleInstallation of plant machinery and equipment as and when requiredManage, oversee and support subordinates in carrying out daily tasksSubmit and motivate capital/strategic expenses to the Engineering SuperintendentEnsure discipline is maintained in the work area (absenteeism, time management, overtime, misconduct (etc.)Comply with safety, health, security and environmental standardsManage workplace climatePlease apply via our website:
